About Aspiro Groups

The Aspiro family of programs are based on a Wilderness Adventure Therapy (WAT) model. Traditional “wilderness” models have been operating in the U.S. since the early 1980’s. Many of these programs are wonderful vehicles for good in an adolescent’s life. We believe our model is the trend o f the future with respect to the short-term outdoor intervention.

A major feature of a Wilderness Adventure program is the integration of High Adventure activities.

When implemented by a skilled team (Licensed therapists and certified adventure guides), these activities can provide the framework for “overwhelming mastery experiences” that are internalized to benefit their life at home (Isomorphic experiences). We believe in a solutions-focused approach to therapy. We also believe in a strong family systems component with parent involvement. The Aspiro family of programs are a hybrid between traditional wilderness therapy, and adventure programs such as Outward Bound or NOLS. This melding of two approaches has evolved into a more exciting, more powerful, more effective approach to working with teens and young adults. We have designed three distinct programs in order to meet the unique needs of different ages and presenting issues. Once you have reviewed the most appropriate website, we invite you to call and discuss you specific needs with our caring admissions staff. There is no obligation for this discussion. We understand that there is much to consider during turbulent times and we will assist in any way we know how. If you don’t get assistance from our family of services, we sincerely hope you find the help you need elsewhere.
